ASHEVILLE — February 16, 2010 Buncombe County home sales continued what’s now a five-month winning streak last month as sales of existing homes were up 34.4 percent over January 2009.
Lower prices, low interest rates, federal tax credits for homebuyers and particularly slow sales a year ago all contributed to the increase, experts said.
